Preliminary Schedule of Events



This schedule of events is designed to help attendees in the planning of their travel. The timing of most events, such as field trips, special dinners, etc., are unlikely to change. However, the timing for certain sessions, such as symposia, may change as the program develops. If your travel plans depend on the timing of a particular presentation or symposium, it is imperative that you contact the AAASPD office (541-552-6869 or e-mail aaaspd@sou.edu) for current information prior to making your plans.

    We'll be putting the finishing touches on meeting materials, packing, sending materials, and flying to Hawai`i! See you there on the 19th!

  • AAAS Pacific Division Executive Committee Meeting
    8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Hawai`i Preparatory Academy, Student Union.

  • Business Meeting of the AAAS Pacific Division Council
    12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Hawai`i Preparatory Academy, Student Union.

  • Registration
    2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Foyer of Taylor Commons Building, HPA.

  • Traditional Hawaiian Blessing to Open the Meeting
    Later in the afternoon – time TBA

  • Pūpū dinner
    Follows the blessing and opening ceremonies.
    This special meal comes as part of housing/meals and ten-meals packages. All others must purchase a ticket in advance.
