AAASPD REGISTRATION CENTER
The Registration Center will be on the third floor of the Highlander Union Building (HUB) on the UCR campus.
It will be open
Tuesday, 17 June from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, 18 June from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, 19 June from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday, 20 June from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  1. Program organizers and/or presenters in the Professional category may register at a reduced cost for the full meeting. Please refer to "Professional Presenter or Program Planner Full Meeting" category above.
  2. Advance registration discounts end on Friday, 31 May. Beyond this date, all registrations will be at the on-site rate. All registrations beginning Saturday, 7 June must be done on–site at the Registration Center (Tuesday through Friday, 17 – 20 June).
  3. The Pacific Division office will close to new business at the close of business on Friday, 6 June to allow time to prepare materials for the meeting and travel to Riverside.
  4. Student registrations include a one-year student membership to AAAS, which includes on-line access to Science magazine and all other member privileges. Students must fill out the AAAS Membership Form at the time of registration to receive this benefit. This form is part of the Advance Registration Form packet that can be downloaded from this page.

STUDENT AWARDS BANQUET

Division Banquet (Thursday, 19 June): $40.00

The Division Banquet will be held on the UCR campus in a location TBA. Entrées include:
Steak with wild mushrooms
Dill citrus broiled salmon
Butternut squash ravioli

All meals include a signature citrus salad (organic mixed greens with jicama, julienne carrots, mandarin oranges, signature citrus vinaigrette) and a seasonal vegetable medley. The steak and salmon also come with roasted Yukon Gold potatoes and fresh rolls and butter. Dessert is a choice of New York Cheese Cake, Chocolate Ganache Cake, or lemon Raspberry Cake. Water and iced tea will be available on the tables during dinner. Coffee, both 100% Columbian and decaffeinated, will be available with dessert. Should a substitution need to be made, every effort will be made to insure that the replacement is comparable to that which is listed above.

A cash bar is also planned during the reception and early part of the dinner for those wishing to purchase beer and/or wine.

Students who are eligible for awards of excellence are invited to attend as guests of the Division. Students planning to attend the banquet must be sure to request a ticket by checking the appropriate box in the lower portion of the front page of the Advance Registration Form.



FIELD TRIPS

Several field trips are planned on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Field trips are typically full-day events but may be shorter or longer.
The cost of a field trip is determined by nature and anticipated expenses of the particular trip.
All field trips are offered on a space-available basis. Early registration is strongly encouraged to avoid disappointments.
Persons not registered for the AAASPD meeting will be charged an additional $10 field trip registration fee. A person will pay the fee only once, regardless of whether they participate in one, two, or more field trips.

REFUNDS

Requests for refunds must be in writing and received in the Pacific Division office no later than 15 May 2014. Requests can be made via USPS, fax, or e-mail (aaaspd@sou.edu). A handling fee of $15.00 will be applied. Refunds to credit cards will incur an additional 3.5% fee on the amount of the original charge to help cover the costs of the credit card fees assessed to the Pacific Division.
